Having already worked in five different African countries, I thought I had a pretty good handle on it. However, when I was sent on assignment to Nigeria it was like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. I was astounded by the epic wealth, poverty, corruption and chaos which coexist in Lagos, Africa’s most populated city. Uneasy to witness, but incredibly beautiful nonetheless. And having your cameras confiscated by cops with AK-47s doesn’t happen every day either.
